Fab Working Ladies’ Cancer Sucks Luncheon Features Entertainer Hal Sparks

July 28, 2016 – The Fab Working Ladies organization announced that it will hold its annual Cancer Sucks Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The unique event is for their members and guests and is a celebration for women who have cancer now or have had it. All current and past members of FWL are invited.

The luncheon will be held at the Canyon View Event Center located at 4800 Spicewood Springs Rd. in Austin, TX. Tickets are now available for the Love Luncheon and are free for those who have or have had cancer, $35 for all other attendees, and can be purchased on the Fabulous Working Ladies website.

The Fab Working Ladies have secured the support of a number of 2016 super sponsors that include NRL Mortgage Company and Brown Distributing Company, along with Do Yourself a Flavor Catering and Teri Mason Photography. Courtney Santana and her band are entertaining us! Vendor opportunities are available.

The guest Hollywood entertainer will be Hal Sparks who plays inventive scientist, David Davenport, in Disney XD’s “Lab Rats.” His feature film credits include “The A-List,” “Extract,” “Spiderman 2,” “Dude, Where’s My Car?” and is best known for his character Michael Novotny on “Queer as Folk.” He’s hosted E!’s Emmy award-winningshow, “Talk Soup” and is an accomplished musician who performs with his band, Zero 1.

Wine for the event is being donated by the FABulous Bubba Bashaw and guests will be treated to a variety of surprises, gifts and special guests for their enjoyment and entertainment. A raffle and silent auction will also be held.

Prizes include an Acapulco trip donated by Beau Theriot, Botox from Personique, and Eyeliner Permanent Makeup by Studio Bella. Prizes also include a hog hunting trip, a concealed handgun course from Julianna Crowder, an Urban Moxie handbag and more.

The annual Cancer Sucks Luncheon conducted by the Fab Working Ladies on Sept. 7, 2016 is a singular opportunity for women who have, or have had, cancer of any type to enjoy a special day out held in their honor. Packed with special events and guests, the annual event brings together women from all walks of life to connect and share in a celebration of life, love and fun.
